I think its because when we are formed our belly button is were our mums inbirical cord was canected to us. and if ur then wondering why some people have ini and outie belly buttons its beacause of were the doctor cuts the cord. :)

off a few weeks after birth. They mark the point where you were hooked onto your mother before you were born, to put it simply.

Because of the umbelical cord. That tube is used before you're born so that food through your mother can get to you. But after you're born you don't need it anymore so they cut it. Then presto! You have a belly button. :D

Because a belly zipper would hurt.
When the cut the umbilical cord, thats what it is. An outie is when they cut it and leave too much there.

When we are in the mommas belly that is where we eat from. Until we are born, then we have to eat thru our mouths.

that is the place when ur mum pregnants u, u get the nutrients that is needed... without it how ur mother going to provide nutrients for u when u are still foetus
