Defamation of character, libel or slander. Keep in mind that this is going to be hard to prove. For one, u have to prove that the slander is causing difficulty with your life (i.e. employment or housing problems). Secondly, u have to have witnesses and people willing to testify on your behalf should the case go to court.

You can only file a defamation of character if for one the things that are being said are not fact. Two if what the person is spreading has caused a hardship such as oyu losing your job, not getting a job because of what they said, etc. There has to be a loss of something in order to file a claim. In some cases you can file for emotional distress, however again you have to prove that whatever they said maybe caused a breakup, strife between family members, etc. Good luck! ;-)
