We need the toilet fixed and a tradesman just called to arrange a time. Hubby said, " It has to be a weekend." and the tradesman says it can't be done then so my hubby says, " okay then" and hangs up.
Great, so now we have no guy coming out to fix the loo.
How do I fix this? Call the tradesman back and apologise?? what?

We are renters, so we can only go through the real estates tradesman..so getting another one isn't an option.

If your husband can't handle this in a reasonable manner then perhaps u should take over. Call the guy up and apologize and set up an appointment according to the tradesman's availability. Your husband sounds very irrational and unreasonable. In this world, u can't always have it your way.

My husband is the same way :) just slap him upside the head and tell him that he can't talk to people or hang up on people like that. However I personally don't think that will help from my experience I just slap him upside the head and take the phone and talk to the people myself that is the only way of getting things done but I make him be next to me when talking to these people so he can learn that he has to be patient when dealing with others it has taken years to get him to where he don't yell he just hands me the phone when he is starting to get frustrated now. So good luck and God Bless.

If this is a continuous problem, I would simply take care of all the appointment arrangements when he's not home. You can call directly so bypassing the potential problem of your husband getting irritated or upset.

Due to the urgency, your husband need the fix to be done at week end, should you can not wait, please find other trademan.
If you really perceived that your husband is very rude to people, it is up to your husband whether he realized it, if he do, to be a better person, can try courses of self improvement programs.

Rig the toilet so that it doesn't work at all. Once he has no toilet to use at all, maybe he'll become more flexible and let someone come in ASAP to fix it.
