I always thought the people from northern africa are arab.
They speak arabic, most of them are muslim (like the arabs), they look arab, they have similar food, they have similar culture, they have the same sort of music, the list goes on...

What is their ethnicity?

Somewhere online it says that they are "berbers". I've never heard of berbers until now and the internet doesn't have much info on them.
