The origonal Enterprise and Enterprise-A were Constitution class starships. The Enterprise-B was an Excellsior class. The Enterprise-C was an Ambassidor Class starship. The Enterprise-D was a Galixy class starship. I don't remember if they mentioned what class the Enterprise-E is in any of the films it was featured in. Help!

The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) (or Enterprise-E) is a Sovereign class starship. It was launched in 2372 from San Francisco Fleet Yards under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, one year after the Enterprise-D's destruction (movie:Generations).
In 2373, the Enterprise's arrival at the Battle of Sector 001 helps lead to the invading Borg cube's destruction and the plot line to the movie: First Contact.

The Enterprise E is a Sovereign class Starship. I think they mention it in the special features of Nemesis.

The Sovereign class. As of 2373, the Enterprise-E is the most advanced Starfleet ship to have been built.
