Yuk!!!! They get little hairs and stuff on them! Would you want to wipe your face on something someone just wiped their @ss on? I like mine washed, thanks!

haha conan i like your intriguing questions. there will always be dust or dirt clinging on to your towel even though you are clean after a shower. So for hygiene's sake people usually wash their bath towels after a few days of use.

Bath towels become stinky and unhygienic.

Besides that you don't know what other people have been doing on your towel. You could have traces of FAECES or SEMEN or VOMIT and even cow dung.

Me, I prefer to get a fresh towel.

because wet towels in a bathroom, in a warm environment will cause bacteria and mold to grow, same thing with raw meat, left out at room temperature, between 40 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit, speeds the process, that is why we freeze our meat and cook it 'til it gets to 160 degrees so it will be safe to eat

Ya, but dead skin cells slough off when you shower/ bathe, and many of them get imbedded into your towels. That is why we wash them.

i asked myself the same question once.... then i realized it was because they got mildew smell after a few uses... from getting wet & not drying quickly... plus, what if you miss a spot with the soap...

Trying hanging them up after each use ... for about a week, then come back and tell us if they're "downy fresh" ...
