Im just about to turn 22 and I have saved about 40k. I try for about 800$ a month, but often find that goal hard to reach. No debts as it stands right now, but things maybe changing shortly. I wasted alot of my income until about a year and a half ago.I think its important for teenagers to learn about finacial responsibility before they waste the first few years going pay check to pay check, I wish I had

im not sure if i am early 20s problably more twars in ealy 30s but anyway i am 24 and i am married and we can not afford to save that much bc of bills and we are getting our house ready to be lived in mobil home. We have two cars a tuck and a mini van bc we have kids. My husband only makes 11 dollars an hour and gets paid every two weeks. I am attending college and only take two classes a week but we can not afford me to work bc we can not afford a day care or anyone to babysit so i work around my mom shedualed and it is either me work or go to college and bc i will make more money when i get out of college me and my husband both agree that going to college is the best for right now. We do have money in the back but it is in a CD so he can not touch it yet so it is like we do not have it at all. We do try to save but something always come up that we need to spend it on diapers or bill money. mostly we do have medicaide and i have finical aid which is a BIG help bc if i did not have that i would not be going to college. NO DEBT he always pays bills on time and we did take out a loan but it is a loan that he can afford to pay it. the loan is the mortage its only 100 a month so that is real cheap for a mortage payment and it is for 10 years or 14 years i think somewhere between there.
