Why don't gif images i save show up in windows explorer?

I'm using an HP Pavilion laptop. They save but they don't load so I can view them after I save them from the internet. I have 20 years experience with computers so I didn't make any mistakes in downloading them.

Possibly don't have any software to view them with? Just guessing. Do they come up as files with little x's? Something is missing for sure. Never had the problem...hope someone can help you figure it out. Maybe contacting HP would be the best answer.

Try opening them in Internet explorer by drag drop. Possible assosciation of .gif file to the application is missing
