Obviously a year. Physician assistants are health care professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. Their Salary is usually in the range between a MD salary and a RN/nurse salary.

average salary means how much they get paid in a year - if it were monthly, that would be clearly specified since salary is typically looked at annually (yearly)
people don't go by monthly wages, they go buy what you make in one year = but it's smart to break that figure down into monthly so you can manage your money
if you needed a loan for example, the bank asks how much your annual income is. if you make $60,000 in one year, they do the math and figure out you make $5000/mo.
sorry, long story short, that was yearly salary. Do you realize that would be $816,000 a year.. wouldn't THAT be nice!

For a physician assistant, this is definitely for a year. Physicians don't even make 68 thousand a month.

Well...... when I took that link, it sent me to a site showing a job of "Physicians Assistant" with an annual (yearly) salary of $57,000
Hard to say exactly what you may have been looking at, but 68,000 sounds like a good yearly wage
