Yes! I think my favourites were the first and The Grey King; the latter was terribly sad. The ending, also, was terribly sad, and I still can't work out whether it was better to forget and lose so much magic out of one's life, or to remember and rue the loss. I very much enjoyed all the adventures, weaving in old legends and myths to such great effect.

Merlin, or Merriman, etc, was my favourite character - how could he not be? The all-wise protector, like Gandalf or Dumbledore. I also liked the Old Lady. It's years since I read them, so my memory is not very clear - except I know I enjoyed them very much.

Have you read Seaward by Susan Cooper, and another one (name escapes me) about a boy who changes places with an Elizabethan boy struck down with plague? Also very good.

I own a set of them, so I read them alot. I like Will the best, he has so much to learn, like we do about life. I guess my favorite book is 'Silver on the Tree' due to the fact that it incorperates alot of Celtic mythology into the story(the Lost Land, King Arthur, and other myths).
