NO! Even though Bush's Grandfather Prescott "Poppy" Bush helped fund Hitler, there are major differences. Although what Beach Bum wrote is correct, here are the 8 Key differences:

1. Hitler was elected into power.
2. Hitler did miliary service in a warzone
3. Hitler took a broken country and turned it into a world power, Bush is taking a world power and turning it into a broken country.
4. Hitler tried to eradicate Jews, Bush is selling his nation out to the jews
5. Hitler masterminded a terrorist attack on his own country (Reichstag fire) and blamed his enemies (the communists) to take radical and dictotorial powers. Bush was kept out of the loop when Cheney organised a terrorist attack on the USA to help Bush get dictatorial powers (which Cheney will exercise through the puppet Bush)
6. Hitler was very intelligent and had a long attention span.
7. Hitler was a great speaker.
8. Hitler loved animals.

There are a few similarities but no way comparable. Bush
thinks that he can rule the world but knows he is unable,
this is a fools game. Hitler was certain that he could rule
the world, this is insanity. This is the main difference,
foolishness vs. insanity. The least we can say about Bush
is that he is a family man, he does care for his family and,
believer or not he does go to church. Hitler had no family
and was known to be a sex maniac. These are only two
major differences and we could go on for ever, but it is
sufficient to say that a comparison is out of the question.
One last comparison, Hitler was unable to talk and only
shout and not listen. Bush can talk, ask questions, listen
even if he does it his way, and when he does not know
what to do, he does know how to delegate. Perhaps we
should consider that Bush is closely watched by the a
a free press. Hitler had no press to watch over him.

There are many more people in the past who have done more heinous crimes than just Hitler or Bush. I don't think that it is far to chastize Bush only without blaming others. But let's face the facts, nations do not achieve power by sitting on chairs and drinking beer, no they have to go out and kill people. However evil it may seem, just take a look a history and see that murder is an essential element for a nation to become powerful.

Geez! No, not like Hitler or Satan or any other moronic comparisons I have seen made in this forum. I do not approve of or agree with everything the man has done but He is merely trying to do his best at an enormously complicated and difficult job. I do not believe any President we ever had did any less regardless of what was thought of them on the streets. He will only be in office for two more years and then you can gripe about the next one when they start doing things you don't approve of or don't understand, and you will. If you didn't vote in the last election be sure you vote in the next one.

Especially disturbing to your suggestion is that Preston Bush, W's grandpa, helped finance the Hitler's Third Reich. The recent developments here and abroad as a result of Bush's term, have a remarkable similarity to Hitler's term. First, the Reich stag was burned to the ground, causing the German People to rally around Hitler and focus their attention on those that "did it" when it was Hitler's men instead. Then the military was beefed up and used to attack other countries for plunder. The children of Germany were sent to camps to teach them the right values so they would make good soldiers and followers. Anyone who disagreed with the party was branded a traitor. Drastic security measures were taken to guarantee safety. The press was turned into a cheerleading section for the party. Now we find ourselves in Afghanistan and Iraq, with hundreds of thousands of casualties, and the world is upset with us and many, mostly Muslims, are organizing to fight us. All this is known as the "big lie."

Some people dislike Bush & that's their prerogative but to compare him to the evil that was responsible for the slaughter of 6 million jews is beyond belief. I think you should do your history.

After Beach Bum , there is nothing much I can add. But I can point out where they were not similar. I think Hitler had some imagination.
No one said he was doing it all for corporate houses. He had control
and was not a pawn in some one else's hand.
