> racism
> discrimination
> swearing and other verbally abusive things (at least 10x)

and the list goes on.

Yes. i think there is too much violence on tv.

we can say "oh people see it all the time anyway".... but take a look at that list, tell me, how much have you seen in real life? probably most of us have only seen a few, being the swearing and a maybe a fight. if you come from a rough background and have seen alot of that, do you really want your kids exposed to it when you have the option to not have them see it?

i know my kids wont. my home wont promote violence.
i grew up in it. i wont let my kids grow up in it.
theyll be aware of it. but not exposed to it every day via TV

Yes. There was a day in time when viewer had to use their imagination and fill in the blanks for scenes where people were involved in violent acts. Nowadays, the producers of TV shows want to show as much of a violent act as possible, without bringing an FCC fine on the network. Nothing is left to the imagination, and almost no violent act is excluded. This used to be reserved for Rated R movies we could see only if we paid to go see it at the theatres. Now, just turn on the TV, and get ready for a wild ride because you never know what is gong to pop up on your screen.

YES!! There is way too much violence on TV. Kids have minds like sponges and they have the access to all this violence, so just imagine the perception they get over life, and the effect that violence have on their lives. They see it on TV, so they try and do the things they see at school, home, or where ever.

Personally i do believe that there is too much violence and also Pornography on tv these days. some of us don't want to admit it but it is true we just dont want to believe it. Some peoples minds become so befuddled by what they watch they don't actually let it register that it is violent. for example people love watching scary movies like The Ring but is it actually building your confidence, helping you mentally, emotionally, etc. No!
I think that we need to make more movies etc out of books. The Classics like: The Dark is Rising Series, The Hardy Boys, Etc. too much money is being wasted on stupid rated R movies, sitcoms, and much more. Our world needs a change and i really hope it does happen.

No, not really. Kids are going to be exposed to violence everywhere they go pretty much. I mean if its not on tv then its on some game.
