What exactly are gypsies, where do they come from, what language do they speak? Which countries re they found in, and are there still nomadic gypsies around today?

They are known to themselves as the Romani, and I believe that is also the name of their language. And in the far distant past, they originated in Northern parts of India. When they reached Europe, the Europeans thought they were Egyptian, and called them Gypsies for short. Yes, there are still descendants of the Romani roaming around today.

Yes, they still exist in parts of Europe. They are vaguely associated with Romania and other Central Eropean countries.
They are called Gypsies because someone thought they came from Egypt. Possibly one of the lost tribes of Egypt.

Gypsies are all over Europe because they were Nomadic.
Maybe they originally came from Armenia
they have definitely eastern blood or Arabic.if their music is anything to go by
there are a lot in Spain,Portugal,England ,probably everywhere ,they also have been persecuted heavily ,just like the Jews

they are found in most of europe and the united states. they are nomadic to some degree, they were a tribe of people who seemed to think they were special and free to do as they liked, im not sure what language most of them speak.

They come from Romania. the first wave were tinkers, they speak Romanian of course any where they could make money. Yes.
