Hi there! Try and relax! I know it's so hard. You want it to be over so badly! I was right where you are. My son is almost 14 months now. Some suggestions that were given to me:
Get down on your knees (if you can...LOL) and wash your kitchen floor. Supposedly this works quite often.
Have sex. Semen contains prostaglandin, a hormone that is believed to stimulate the cervix and help start contractions. Also, nipple stimulation causes your body to produce oxytocin which can start labor.
Take heart!! Your doctor shouldn't let you go longer than a week overdue, so it will all be over soon. And you'll have a beautiful little bundle!! Good luck to both of you!!

hi well let me tell you i know how you feel.
although i was not overdue but, well any way....ok although you are three cm don't worry you are getting close, maybe tomorrow you will pop..sometimes you can be up to two weeks overdue, and that is when they look into inducing your labor. if you do not want to be induced by the doc, you should walk a long walk, have sex (that is if your doc says it is ok), or bend over the back of the couch.. other than that just be patient and let nature take her course. it will all be over soon.

Climbing stairs
walking
nipple stimulation
sex
eating spicy foods
drinking castor oil (although I wouldn't want the diarrhea associated with it)
some people take enemas
Or, just be patient. Know the baby will come when he/she is ready. Baby will be here before you know it. I wouldn't recommend an induction with Pitocin. The contractions are a lot more intense.
Good luck

Try walking - that will help bring the baby down to where s/he should be.
Sex - the male's fluid will help soften the cervix and the orgasm helps bring on contractions.
Nipple stimulation - helps get those hormones going
Other than that - just wait it out. The baby might not be ready to come out yet!
Good luck and congrats!

Have sex. Orgasm stimulates uterine contractions and the prostaglandins present in sperm help to dilate the cervix.
Good luck!
