Everyone wants me to wear a "training bra", but I don't want to!Those are for little kids who have no boobs but want to get used to wearing a bra. I am twelve. I think i'm old enough and developed enough for a bra. I don't want to wear a stupid training bra but my mom won't let me get a real one. She says I can't get one until i'm 14! She says I'll just have to wear the training bras until then. But how can i? They give absolutely not support. They are just a thin strip of fabric that goes around your rib cage. Like the built-in thing in the cami. What should i do? All of my peers are wearing real bras.

iF yOU FEEL YOU SHOULD HAVE oRIGINAL bRA, bE fIRM, tELL YOUR MOM RESPECTFULLY......that its your boobs , an you feel they need extra care , by original bra, and if you feel your boobs need a real bra{whatver size they are ] then you need to have a bra...get your mom clear, that age 14 is not for evryone, there can be exceptions and you are a EXCEPTION, DIFFERENT PERSON,and she should like you for that, or not give you food for stomach.

You didn't give a size, and I really think you probably are not in need of a bra. I bet even the training bra is a compromise on your mom's part.

You basically want a bra so you don't feel funny around your friends who are probably not developing either. Just stick with the training bra. If you truly develop before 14, and have a cup size to prove it, then say "mom, I'm a B cup, I need a bra for a B cup" or whatever.

From what I understand, bras are a pain, and you'll be wearing one for the rest of your life so dont' rush a pain.

You should start wearing a real bra when you NEED a real bra. I was in a C cup by 14. I have been wearing a real bra since 6th grade, because I needed one. In all honesty, do you need one yet?

However, I understand your plight and I am unsure of why your mother has put such restrictions on you. Perhaps you can compromise and get a sports bra.

Have you measured yourself, to see what size bra you should be in? Are you having any pain or discomfort in your breasts? If you really need a regular bra, than a training bra will not offer you the support you need.

how big are your boobs? and you dont seem to have much choice since your mom is setting the rules. maybe u can try to convince her by going to the mall and "for fun" try on bras at victoria secret or something. maybe if she sees how the bras fit you well shell change her mind.

You're 12, and yet you go online and ask questions about your developing body to complete strangers. Way to get raped!
