Sorry, since West Indies are not the present holder of World Cup, the question of defending the world cup does not arise.
However, they have sufficient talent and potential to win the
World Cup 2007, if they play the way they played against South Africa in the Semi Final and not the way they played in the Final against Australia

As of now WI has very little chance. A team where only 2 or 3 performs can not win a championship. They gets badly exposed when the performers fail. However, if C'Paul and Gayle continues this form and Lara regains his form, and at least 2 guys like Sarwan or Samuels manges some decent form, then they will be a force in their home turf. But then WI will always remain unpredictably unprdeictable!

they have the talent to get the cup, but they are vyer much inconsistent.... they keep working through out the tournament n give up just in the final........strange !!!
