Sure i like the graphics but i think its a bit overrated really.

most people are uninhibited online and can express themselves more openly, wow makes this even easier so its gotten so popular
basically its a repetitive game and gets darn boring in the higher levels

The avatar you use in the game lets you escape the boredom of reality. Progressing through the game is also a rewarding experience, but most importantly its because we have no social lives.
