What's the best brand of men's t-shirts that can be worn alone or under a dress or polo shirt?

I'm looking for a heavy weight t-shirt with a thick collar that doesn't stretch out and fabric that doesn't show through.

Try Standford at JC Penny, very thick and slim cut. Also try Banana Republic Layering Tee's, they are very white and also very thick.

for a younger man i think tommy hilfiger, nautica and polo crew neck shirts are great
izod, haggar and such might fit an older guy
