I had horrible morning sickness all the way until 30 weeks (they told me later that it was because I was having twins - double the hormones, etc. so don't freak out thinking this will be you!)
Here's what helped me:
1. Sea Bands - You can find these at your local drug store usually in the motion sickness section. They are bands that go on your wrist. They cost me $10 and were the best $10 I spent my entire pregnancy. I had trouble functioning until I started wearing those.
2. Vitamin B - See if your OB can prescribe you a prenatal vitamin with extra Vitamin B in it. I found that this helped me alot. While on vacation I had run out of my prescription pre-natal and just used a Vitamin B supplement. This worked pretty well too.
3. Ginger - If you can find ginger Altoids try them. They worked okay for me. A friend of mine tried them and they really worked for her.
Everyone is different but these three things have helped me and many of my friends. If you know anyone flying soon ask them to take a few of the air sick bags for you. :-) Hope you feel better soon and have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

I was diagnosed with hyperemisis gravidarium (sp?), which is fancy medical talk for "throw-up ALL the time." I was also on Zoforan (phenergan didn't help me either). To be honest, NOTHING I tried worked. Sea bands, small meals (couldn't keep them down), crackers, ginger...nothing. The only think that kept me going was the fact that at the end of those horrible months I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl. It seemed like an eternity while I was going through it, but in the end it was all worth it. Good luck, and keep up hope!

Some tips for you. Stay in bed for a little longer when you wake up. Put some saltine crackers next to your bed and some 7up. Also they have suckers out that help with morning sickness. Try watching what you eat exspecially right before bed.

Some say crackers before you get out of bed. It works with some women.
Eat bland foods and smaller meals throughout the day.
Also - If the smell of something makes you feel ill - get away from it and / or do NOT eat it. If you continue to be around the smell - it will make you puke.
*HUGS* I had horrible satan possessed projectile vomiting for 15 weeks and they eventually put me on Zofran (anti nausea med used for chemo patients, strong stuff) because phenergan wouldn't touch me.
I hope your morning sickness goes away soon! It's no fun!

Sleeping in later, if you can, get plenty of rest, saltine crackers helps too. Also try Tums or your favorite antacid, (check with Dr first) Don't eat foods that are spicy, or greasy, or takes long to digest. Stick with simple foods, fruits and veggies without alot of acid in them. I had morning sickness so bad with my twins, that I lost 13 lbs, but it went away by the 4th month and I gained plenty after that! You're going to be OK baby!

When you wake up, sit up and stay in bed for a while - 15 or 20 minutes. Have some soda crackers and ginger ale nearby (or have your guy bring it to you) and snack on it a little.
This way you can gradually get your body up and moving again, and you won't get a sudden surge of blood (full of hormones) when you stand up all of a sudden.

Unfortunately, after 7 months of all-day sickness, someone FINALLY told me about GINGER! It works! Ginger ale, ginger snap cookies, or even ginger pills. Also, eating a very small snack every 2 hours really really helped me. If i didnt have that snack, i was gonna toss my cookies for sure. hang in there, and congrats! God bless you and your baby

Ginger, probably in the form of sweetened tea is likely to reduce the feelings of morning sickness according to one clinical study.

cider-sinai health also suggest ginger ( small amounts)
