The state of virginity would refer primarily to a girl either having had sex or not having sex. In older times, this was determined by the presence of a hymen, which was broken at the time of the first intercourse. As the tissue was torn, it would bleed and leave spots on the sheets, as "proof" of virginity. However, like all things with the human body, hymens are individual to the girl. Some cover the vaginal canal nearly completely, some do not. Some stretch more easily than others. In modern times, girls lead more active lives than our middle age counterparts, and we use tampons. Any of these reasons or things can prematurely break or stretch the hymen. Girls are also not quite as unprepared for their first intercourse as they were then, which makes the whole thing less traumatic. As a result of these things, the presence or absence of a hymen do not determine virginity- and should not be used as proof one way or the other. So in answer to your question, a girl would still be a virgin- with or without a hymen, if she has not had intercourse. The lack of a hymen proves nothing, except it was either missing to begin with, or has been broken in some other manner.

It could be from a few things. 1. Horse back riding, this can break your hymen if you ride reagually. 2. You puntured it was a sex toy. Or 3. You were possibly raped. There may be other senarios. But those 3 are the most likly.
