I'm confused! You have a satanic name like Demonica but you don't think it's right to hang a man responsible for How Many Deaths??!!!!?? Maybe you need to get your priorities straight before you ask such a question!

I do not see this as being done in "God's name", at least I hope not. You are the first person who has said something like this all day. I was beginning to think no one cared about killing. At any rate, hanging is still acceptable in some countries. It is not in most countries because it has a high rate of failure. Of course, no one has been hanged yet and there are appeals. Who knows where this will all end?

The stand I take is against capital punishment. This is an ethical stance, not an emotional one. Capital punishment does not work as a deterent, and the only other reason for it is revenge. It costs more to execute a prisoner (in the States) than it does to keep them in prison. Regardless of how I feel about Sadam, wrong is wrong. If someone hurt my family, my emotions would tell me to go rip their eyes out slowly. That would not make it right to do so.

What I can never understand is how so many people that call themselves "Christians" are ready to hand the death penalty to criminals when Jesus came to the world to redeem us all and the point is that His sacrifice should not be in vain for anyone. If you kill them and do not give them a chance to repent, then aren't you playing God or interfering with his work? I thought God said judgment was left to HIM, but so many called "Christians" are the first to throw a stone at the sinner. They need to get themselves a mirror. The are NO Christians to me.

The hanging is apparently the Iraqi way of executing the death penalty. If you are against capital punishment, it is hard to see death sentences issued and carried out. We are only one small minority of the world that would prefer to do without a death penalty, but realize that how to handle dangerous murders is an extremely complicated problem, and we need to consider other's opinions on the matter.

No matter how bad you think you feel over his death sentence, I bet you would feel differently if he was responsible for murdering your family, as he has the families of so many others.

Of all the people in the world suffering injustice and death, you choose to defend Saddam Hussein. You need to think about that and gather a little insight.

Umm..because, he was tried in the Middle East and not here. Public hangings and other public executions are still common there unlike the U.S.

Saddam Hussein is a murderer and a horrible human. He deserves death for the murders and atrocities that he carried out over the years. Besides, in his culture, they still believe in "Eye For An Eye" and the same should go for him!

No, in this case, it's not wrong.

Humanity is a race that often kills for pleasure... I've seen it too many times.. people hunt for sport of killing.
Think about this:
If a person kills a lot of people and is left to live what is there?
I see what you are saying though.
He killed so many and by killing him we are making ourselves just like him.
Killing for killing makes no sense I know but people get so tied up in things; so much emotion it becomes a churning chaotic whirlpool.
Hanging?!
Who knew... woah.
Killing a person for killing someone else gets us absolutely nowhere... we might know it but we sure don't acknowledge it.
Hope this helps. ^_^

It's wrong I agree, but have you think about how many people he killed? Have you considered on the future of Iraq and their people if Hussen is still on thrown? But then they could always imprison the man for life, I mean why kill him? and Hanging? that's too brutal right there, that's just too ancient!

i think its wrong to decide when a persons death date is, its like playing god and its wrong. just because someone does something awful doesn't mean that we have the right to take their life away from them. God will/should handle his punishment and already has, we as human beings should have nothing to do w. such horrible things.
