Arizona or California. From Phoenix west or LA & south to San Diego. It can get pretty darn cold every where else although its only a short drive from Las Vegas to LA. (couple of hours) The Grand Canyon Is very cold in the winter.

I'm not trying to be a smart a.., but I have beento everyone of these states and none of them are as warm as people may think. My parents live in California and you have to travel through Nevada to get there. I live in Illinios so I'm not that far from Utah. I have been to Arizona a couple of times traveling. Florida, Texas, or New Mexico would be the choices if you want warm states. But if you only want one of the states you have chosen then I would suggest Utah.

Phoenix is very warm and so is anything that is in the direction of I-10 out of AZ going West- into Calif. I am from Ca and live in NM- in Carlsbad- and it is nice here in the winter- get snow birds and have a KOA campground- motels and apartment rentals-ect-and it is probably cheap compared to Az-and Ca- Utah- I honestly don' know- other than having a flat in MOab- and fam in SLC-it is very cold and snowy there- D

I live in California and it's not that warm in the winter... I mean where I live right now it doesn't snow but you can wake up in the morning with your windshield frozen. Where I used to live in Southern CA closer to Malibu it was a little warmer but not much... We would still have days in the 50's (temperature) in the winter. I'd say if you want real warmth in the winter go somewhere tropical.

If you are into camping then I would suggest the Grand Canyon. We went there over the summer for a day and it was pretty cool. We want to go back and camp when we have the time. We got some awesome pics of the canyon too. Just stay away from the edge. A lot of accidents happen and my husband kept going by the edge. Scared the crap out of me. I could have killed him for it!
