how do I save pictures from my phone to my computer?

I have done everything from sending them to my email to connecting my phone to my computer with a usb cord. I have a motorola v3. Everytime that I connect it to my computer it tells me that I need to install a program, what program is it?

Your phone should have come with a CD, containing software that will enable you to share/move data between PC and phone. You will need to install this software, and then connect your phone with the cable.

you need to instal the motorola mobile phone tools.
