I've lived here since 2003, and it's snowed every year at least one day. Usually, it snows overnight and then melts by noon. The first winter I was here (2003/2004), it snowed pretty heavily (I think we got about 6 inches) and it didn't melt and the next night it rained and turned into ice. Needless to say, I stayed home for two days. I refuse to drive in that weather here, since no one else knows how to drive in it, and the county isn't well-equiped to take care of the roads under those conditions. I think I once read that King County only has 13 plow trucks! :)

Not much. The west coast is basically wet during the winter months

it seems like every 5 years we get like 4 or 5" overnight and then by lunch time it is gone! lol It doesn't usually last that long.
