Nothing will reduce the swelling quickly. Lay down and elevate your lower legs above the level of your heart (put your legs up).
Here is a website that describes the problem in more detail with a Warning about rapid swelling is a sign of Pre-eclampsia and you should read it to make sure nothing problematic is going on. Also they suggest swimming, which would take the pressure off of everything. http://www.drspock.com/article/0,1510,4414,00.html
Besides all that, Congratulations!

You need to make sure your feet are elevated above the level of your heart. Don't add salt to your food and stay away from foods high in salt. Also ask your doctor if there is anything that can be done. You should also get checked for preeclampsia, that is one of the signs. (I know I just had a baby 2 months ago and I lost 40 lbs of water weight after the baby was born, I was swollen everywhere.) Do not use a warm compress it will only make you swell more. A cool bath can help, your doctor should give you circulation socks for that swelling though. The main reason you are swollen is because of the pressure your growing belly is putting on the vessels that go to your legs, causing bad circulation so the fluids are collecting in your legs. It will go away after baby.
Best of luck!

First of all stay away from salty diets & maintain low sodium drinks You ae basically in your last tri-mester and apparent the baby is due to comeout causing natural stress blood sugars to rise and fall thus low circulation put your feet up as you are retaining water have your spouse a friend or family member gently massage the feet, then ankles all the way up to the mid thigh incase there is cramping I recommend this process at least 2wice a day flat on your back place 2-3 pillows underneath your feet everytime you sit down or sleep or between your legs when sleeping on your side position the pillows to align your back and keep legs up to circulate the blood flow.

Put ya feet up girl! I have the same problem!!! I am also 9 months and boy do my feet get swollen! And strangely enough I heard walking is good to but I'm so heavy I can't do that getting sore pelvis and groin muscles. Also just being in a swimming pool or heated pool (not a hot tub) is good, as it takes the pressure of your feet. Good Luck ;)

What everyone is saying about keeping them elevated is right. If you don't know already you may also have this after the baby is born. I had very little with my first, but with my second, my legs were swollen for 11 days. I was told this is normal, but I found it unnerving. Hopefully this won't happen. Good luck on you new one!

Make an appointment with the doctor, in the mean time lie down (preferably in bed) do not use a pillow for your head, instead elevate your feet and try to get them above your heart and STAY in bed until your doctor appointment.

You can either sit with your feet elevated above heart level, or when you lay in bed, prop some pillows and blankets and lay your feet on them to get your feet above your heart level. This helps a lot in reducing swelling. Try soaking them in cool water also.

You seriously need to see your GYN , it sounds like you have Pre Clampsia which can be dangerous to you and the baby.
I had the exact same thing happen to me when I was pregnant and the pre clampsia caused my blood preasure to go up really high and they ended up having to take my son almost 6 weeks early.
