I have this strange feeling in my left arm (now a little bit in my right). It started off as a dull pain through the top of my arm, which started at about 7:00 tonight (it's now 1:15 a.m.), since I've gotten home (12:30) I also have a tingling sensation, and a little numbness, and sometimes my muscles will tighten up. I can also feel it in my fingers. It's kinda freaking me out.

Some additional info: I'm 18, have never had any other problems like this before, but spend a lot of time of the computer (but I just got on for the first time today).

It is probably from bad posture and it is likely that it is a pinched nerve in your neck from sitting a certain way and typing...carpal tunnel may be coming your way...try ice or heat and ibuprophen(generic advil)whatever it says on the bottle...a hot tub, hot bath or hot shower would help...

You probably have a compressed nerve in your middle or upper back. Try resting. Avoid prolonged sitting, bending, pushing. Just rest a little while and don't use too many pillows and don't twist your torso when you sleep. Keep your body together. It's probably a muscle spasm from an irritated nerve.

Don't quote me but I think I heard that when you have a stroke you might have pain in your arm. Maybe you could look it up on the Internet. You could also call a nurses hotline and ask them. Does anyone else here know if this could be a stroke or not?

maybe carpal tunnel or something (i think thats how you spell it). my mom got it from typing on the computer to much. she said it feels like your arm is numb and tingly and it comes with shooting pain up and down your arm.
