"Original Xbox game support requires a hard disk drive (HDD) accessory on your Xbox 360 console."
What that means is once you buy a hard disk drive ($99.99) you can play SOME original xbox games. The list of backwards compatible games is on the xbox website (www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardscompatibility.htm). On the left side of the screen click on "Xbox games playable on Xbox 360" and it will give you a list of the games you can play.
Good Luck!

plays most of the popular titles for xbox already, every month they add more to the compatable games list but you have to run your 360 online and go to the adress supplied. adress is in your menu somewhere just turn on the 360 and have a look. If it cant read one of your orig xbox games it comes up with the site to go to anyway.

Yes it does. Technically a next-gen console is that it's a bit of a minor improvement of the previous model along with the games created for that particular console. When the PS3 comes out it can also play PS and PS2 games. Long answer conclusion, keep your old games if you want to and keep on playing them.
