You always have a higher number of people voting for someone just because they are "their group" whether it is more Texans voting for Bush or more women voting for Hillary. Will & Grace had a funny episode where Grace was supporting a candidate she knew nothing about just because the candidate was a female Jew & Will was supporting a candidate he knew nothing about just because the candidate was a gay. Turned out both candidates were awful embarrissments.

Most hispanics will vote for a candidate just because he is hispanic. I live in New Jersey and know that Menendez won because of huge urban hispanic support including cubans (his parents were from Cuba). Hispanics have a strong sense of loyalty to each other and will support a candidate for public office only because of his/her race. I'm hispanic and know this because I have seen it. I don't approve of it but we're inclined to vote for the hispanic candidate.

I am hispanic and would not vote for a hispanic just because they are hispanic. I would vote for the best candidate in my opinion. OVerall I do think that many hispanics would vote for another hispanic just because they can identify themselves with that person. I also think there are some White people that would vote for a White person for the same reason or a black person who would do the same.

As for New Jersey, All Democrats have never cared that their candidate is a corrupt sleazeball, they keep voting in Ted Kennedy, the Daley family, Studds ETC
