All things are possible to them that believe. There are many types of friends. Although, a friend never met in person would be missing some qualities that a friend that knows you in person would have the advantage of having.

with the latest technologies we are now, YES it is possible for me. Loyalty and trust for me depends on the person on the receiving end. But i think it is very easy to have "intimate friends" online. But sad to say.... having this friends is also very easy to live them alone. So the insecurity is still there....mutual trust between the person is needed.

Abso Effen Loutely! I have a friend I have been chatting with almost every day for 8 years. I can say he is a true blue friend. He has been there for the good times and the bad. One time I was in a tight spot and needed to get to my older daughter but had 0 money. He wired me 400.00 bucks on the spot. I am happy to say: I have recently been able to return the favor when he was, himself, in a tight spot. He is one of the best friends I have, and I have never seen his face in "real life."

The internet has brought about new dimensions in relationships. I would call people that I know online acquaintances rather than friends, unless we had the sort of relationship in which we did things for each other, helped each other out, etc. I don't think conversation necessarily makes people friends - there's more to it than that.

Of coarse. You can get to know a person without ever physically meeting someone. It is who and what they are that makes you friends, not physically being with that person.
