AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.5 is an excellent antivirus. You can get it at http://free.grisoft.com

Give up using Windows, and install Linux on your computer. Linux is immune to all viruses, malware, spyware and adware.
Go to www.distrowatch.com to find out how to get all the popular flavors of Linux...
...then do an image search for Linux screen grabs on Google.

I use Avira AntiVir. It is free and very thorough. Also, you might want to download Spybot, as well as a firewall. I'm not sure what to use as a firewall, though.
