Like I always say: "That's Hollywood for you".
Too much money, not enough brains and too much time on their hands.

Hm....there are many celeb-couples who married a looong time ago, and still are together.

Look at Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, they're together for well over 30 years already.

Bruce Paltrow and Blythe Danner were together for 32 years, and probably still would be if Bruce was still alive.

If you should google for "Long-lasting celebrity marriages", I'm sure you will find many more couples who are (or have been) togheter for a long time.

However, I think I DO understand what you mean : nowadays quite a few celebs rush into marriages, (maybe some of them do it partly to get publicity of any kind) only to discover they married the "wrong' person.

Celeb marriages are under waay too much pressure and scrutiny due to the public eye to ever really have a fighting chance. No relationship would last when millions of people are specualting the possibility of infidelity due to the latest tabloid covers. Sad but true...

I don't ever see celeb marriages lasting either. I think because 'their world' is just so different.. everything they experience etc. I mean how do you commit to a loving union and be there for one another in such a pressuring world?
But hey... if it works for them, right?

well every marriage whether by a celebrity or not especially in america is bound for divorce,,,,and i really think its crazy, they marry just to get hurt, poor children,,,,thats why i love being single , having no children, having no affair, and just travelling the world, no strings attached, could be lonely sometimes but well this is a cruel world

I still have a hard time thinking Nick and Jessica didn't work out. I'm serious. Why is that saga interesting?

I wonder if you really studied it -- do they have a higher divorce rate than the rest of the country? Plenty of them are happily married and plenty of "us" are happily divorced!
