It's niot that the truth scares them , because they never get as far as consideribg it as truth.
People have their own belief syatems, and they make decisions based on those belief systems. If something comes along that falls outside if their belief system, then they will defend that something as surely as they would defend their house.
To change a belif system is a very difficult thing, and can only happen gradually over a long period of time.
When I first heard about the New World Order/Illuminati, I did not believe it, but gradually more and more evidence was presented to me until I eventually had to reconsider. Once I realised exactly what had been happening, I becane extremely angry at the fact that I had been hoaxed so much, for so long.
Now.whenever a world event takes place, I know what to expect, because after ten years of almost daily research, I have become aware of just how powerful, and how dangerous these wealthy few families are.

So it's not just 9/11
These same people still believe that the Federal Resreve is a government organisation, that vaccinations are for the good of their health, that the government has their interests at heart, that there are no cures for cancer and Aids, that voting machines are not fixed, that the TV and newspapers contain truth, that there are no mind control programs in operation, etc, etc

People do not want to have to face the fact that their government considers them expendable and meaningless in the face of making money. If people had to acknowledge that 9-11 was caused by our government their whole worlds would collapse. Some people are not capable of handling such things. They need to believe in good bad and black and white or the world does not make sense for them anymore. They need to believe that the US is good moral and just and that the people who hate us hate us for our freedoms. What they do not realize is that our government is a fallacy created to make a profit for the people who founded our country and this has been ongoing ever since. Our "freedoms" are what they use to keep us from questioning. Those very freedoms that they take away at will and as it benefits them.
I know what my country is and I still believe it is has the potential to be the greatest country every. The ideals our country was founded on our some of the greatest to never be truly implemented.

The US. Government has lied about many wars. The increase of troops in Vietnam was based on an

attack in the Tonkin Gulf that never happened. Some say that Roosevelt knew about Pearl Harbor

and let it happen to get support to join World War Two. The Spanish-American War (Remember the

Maine!) was also based on a hoax.

Not to mention the numerous covert wars that they lied about. Iran-Contra, the overthrow of

Mossadegh in Iran, Allende in Chile, Arbenz in Guatemala. Also the war in Panama, against someone

who was on the payroll of the CIA. Cuba as well. The Bay of Pigs invasion was supported by the

CIA, and the people who invaded were trained by the CIA in Guatemala.

I've looked at this stuff- and basically, it's wacko.
In order for the gov't to pull this off they'd
1. Need to be able to keep a secret, and
2. Be able to pull this off. (remember, Bush was on vacation most of the 9 months of his first term)

Neither are even remotely possible.

You're believing this because you want to believe it, not because it's true. For the same reason people believe in god or astrology. Someone put this information together to try and create a conspiracy theory that suckers would believe.

It's easier to control frightened people. All you hear about now is "security, security, security." Being in Iraq is not helping to secure America from terrorist attack. This task must be multinational and highly cooperative. We have lost the good will of many, many countries who harbor terrorist cells, so we as Americans have shot ourselves in the foot. The Bush Administration is doing very damned little to solve this problem, and is stirring up more hatred against America.

If people were to actually entertain the truth, in its totality, concerning the events of 9/11, and all the parties that were either directly or indirectly complicit in the tragedy, they would lose all sense of security and faith in our government. The fear of losing this sense of stability and clarity, of having a clear and defined enemy, is what gives the American people a sense of purpose, and it is what keeps them from being engulfed in fear.

Yes much of the evidence is in plain sight, and much of it is hard to refute, but the need to make the whole 9/11 tragedy a simple, almost comic book scenario of good verses evil, of us verses them, imparts to the masses a sense of coherence. It is comforting to know that we are aware of who the enemy is, and how that enemy is over there, and not next door; not among those for whom we are to uphold the highest trust

To acknowledge reality, some of which you present, would shatter the image of an America that is the beacon of virtue and goodness in a world rife with evil. The destruction of such a view would be devastating to many. So they would rather live in a fantasy world. Ya know, no matter how many facts are thrown at people many will still close their eyes. Those are some startling allegations and much of it I've seen well supported. Keep trying to get truth out. At least put doubts in the minds of others so they might dig deep to find the truth out for them selves. Most people quickly discount these facts and just say "...oh great another conspiracy theory!" without looking into any facts out there. What happened to critical thinkers???? Don't make any conclusion until you dig deep into the facts. So do some research, if you have not yet on this topic.
