I would say get on birth control...but that would help your for next month. There really isn't anything you can do for your period this time around. Have you tried wearing a tampon while you are swimming. I have never had a problem swimming with a tampon. If you do want shorter periods though, you should look into an oral contraceptive. Not only do they shorten your periods, but there is less cramping!! Good luck with that!

If you are really that much into swimming, I would bring it to the attention of my Dr. If you get shot of Diplovera, you won't have a period for three months. Temporarily, until you do that, drink lots of water, and use diuretics such as pop, coffee, tea...anything with caffeine.

the pill has cut my period down to 3 days. mine is orthotrycyclene 28. and it also lightens the flow so using a tampon does help tremendously and going into the water may cut it for a moment due to the water temperature. hope this helps.

Use a tampon....You can swim using one and no one will ever know. You must be young and never tried using a tampon. Make sure you read the directions....

that would be nice to shorten them - but sadly - impossible
perhaps it is time for you to use a tampon - then you CAN swim - they make really small ones for beginners - you won't smell as much either in the hot weather

You could try using a tampon. As long as you tuck the sting away, no one will ever know you are on your period. Lots of girls swim whilst on, & no one ever knows!!

douching may help - if you take the pill - start your next pack a little earlier.

No. You can't make it go away faster. Supposedly you can swim using tampons... but I never tried it myself and sounds risky to me.
If you can't beat it.... throw a lot of red food coloring into the pool.. and voila... nobody will even notice.
