My daughter is going for her first phot shot for a local beauty salon. My question is- They want me to sign a release, releasing her pictures since she is a minor. Her pic could end up in a magazine for hairdressers. So my question is, should I sign the release or not?

If it's a complete release with no royalty rights retained, I would decline.

It won't end up in anything bad. It'll be put in those hair magazines where they put tiny little square pics of the headshots and the salon where the person came from. Your daughter won't end up in a modeling agency or traveling everywhere against your will if that's your issue

Yea. Talk to your daughter and make sure it's okay with her also. I mean if she wants to do this, when or if you sign the release it could be her big break =).
