No. How could "God's" gift to Mankind be overated? I think the problem becomes confusing when we give our hearts away to those that are undeserving in the first place. We have to learn to love ourselves for who we truly are before we can begin to appreciate the love of or for someone else. We must first understand why we love before we can rate it. Then the question becomes why should we rate a feeling in the first place. It should be looked upon as a gift and just cherish the moments, be them short or longterm.
Only then do we comprehend its true meaning.

No, I feel that love can be heartbreaking at times but loving someone and being loved is never overrated

Love is never overrated. Its just that the new generation of people are not taught what true love is all about. Its just not cool to love anymore, if you know what I mean. Its much more respected to hook up and have one night stand. But hey, nothing I can do about it, but NO love is not overrrated.

Not really overrated but I am tired of feeling the pain that love can cause. It's just a never ending cycle of crap for me, so once again I will promise myself not to fall in love again.

Yea, when some of my young friends(in college) talk abt being in love one moment & in the next they cant stand each other. They fight & break up for silly reasons like she wears too much make up or he has a silly haircut. They get infatuated by appearences & say they are in love.Whereas it shd be abt totalling loving somenone selflessly & never cause him or her pain.
