I'm pretty much in love with one of my best friends. We go to church together, so we only see each other twice a week. When we hang out he makes me feel like I'm perfect, and like nothing could go wrong in the world. We've gone to the movies, and to my school's homcoming together, but I found out last week that he has a girlfriend, and has since before we went to homecoming. I feel used, and humiliated for liking him thins much. He's made me go through an emotional rollercoaster the past few weeks, and I just want to let him know how I feel. At the same time, I don't want to ruin our friendship. What should I do

You should stop beating the crap out of yourself for one... You have a good friendship. Good friendships are generally screwed up by dating. Just roll with it. Be glad you still have a good friend and go find yourself a boyfriend. Maybe do a double date or something! Don't try to fix something that isn't broken. You can still keep him as a friend and date other folks. Sounds like a plan to me. You'll be fine as long as you give yourself a break and stop looking for reasons why you did something wrong. You did nothing wrong, he did nothing wrong, you're still friends, just roll with it before you mess up a good thing.

This isn't entirely his fault, you know. You let yourself get caught up emotionally before you had all the facts about this guy. Happens all the time. Did he lead you on? Was he a jerk? Did he do it on purpose? Is he scum? Maybe. But, you've got to confront him and spill it to him very much like you did here. Tell him a friendship is hanging in the balance and his answers better be good. I doubt the friendship will continue, however. You've been emotionally wounded and with some justification. You deserve an explantion. Go get it.

Real friends wouldn't care as they are friends, good friends. Although I see what you mean maybe it's your fault for not 'jumping in' at the right time?
