A breast implant is a prosthesis used to enlarge the size of a woman's breasts (known as breast augmentation) for cosmetic reasons, to reconstruct the breast (e.g. after a mastectomy or to correct genetic deformities), or as an aspect of male-to-female sex reassignment surgery. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, breast augmentation is the third most commonly performed cosmetic surgical procedure in the United States. In 2005, 291,000 breast augmentation procedures were performed.[1]

There are two primary types of breast implants: saline filled and silicone gel filled implants. Saline implants have a silicone elastomer shell filled with sterile saline liquid. Silicone gel implants have a silicone shell filled with a viscous silicone gel.

Hello,

First off, only you can decide what size you should get. I don't think that any plastic surgeon should or would tell you what to get, because it is your body and therefore your decision.

Breast augmentation is painful, but depending on the type of implants you get and the way they are inserted the pain and swelling differs.

It is difficult to say what to expect, because everyone reacts to the anesthetic differently and everyone has different healing times. I would say at the very least you are looking at a week recovery time, but it could be much longer.

Always, you should do some research about the surgery and about different plastic surgeons in your area before making any decisions. I'm sure you have either seen or heard about any number of the plastic surgery nightmares that are often on television shows and in the media.

As to what size you should get, it depends as to what look you are going for. If you want the augmentation to look natural, than you should probably only go up one or two sizes. If you want a much larger, more noticeable breast than you might go up more sizes. It all depends as to what look you would like to achieve.

I hope this helps, and good luck.

Any surgery will traumatise your body. You will be anaesthetised during the operation, but during the healing process expect pain, swelling, bruising, and fluid buildup/leakage.

You need to talk to a plastic surgeon about all the complications and what to expect from the surgery. A good surgeon will help you select the size and shape that best suits your figure, as well as choosing between saline and silicone.

You should get a size that compliments the rest of your body shape. I would suggest nothing bigger than a C cup, otherwise you will look like Dolly Parton. Unless of course that is the look you are going for.

Dont know how bad it hurts, but from seeing people on tv, look like it does!!!! A friend of mine had it done and she came to wrok 2 days after and had to go home about 2 hours after she got there.........
And the size depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Just to look like ya have some, i would go maybe to a 34 C. No bigger because you don't weigh enough, it would look silly bigger than that.
Good luck hon!

Well at 32A, you can expect to go up to 32B or 32C. If you really want to go ahead with this, make sure you are doing it for you and not to impress guys! Yes, it will be somewhat uncomfortable, but should not be unbearable. Just research the procedure well and find a good doctor. I have posted a link to a helpful site. HTH : )

It does not hurt, because it is done with general anesthesia and sedation. Maybe a B or C cup will be right for you. For precise info visit http://www.surgeryabroadguide.com
