I not only met a wonderful guy on line, we are now engaged. Just be careful and trust your instincts. I could tell you some horror stories that happened to me. There are alot of absolute nuts out there and if something doesn't seem right to you follow your feeling. Let things progress slowly and when you do meet the first couple of times, do it in a public place such as the mall and make sure you let a few people know where you are going just in case. Yes, I am right now. I feel it is safe because we have been talking on the phone for more than a year now and we write letters and send things to each other and go on webcam. If you mean strictly internet, then of course it is never 100% safe, but you can always get to know the person and work up to other things, like phone, pictures, webcam, letters, etc., and maybe even meet in real life.

yes i have met 3 people online been in relationships for over a year with 2 of them not at the same time! and no its not safe thank god they were nice but you cant trust anyone on here

My boyfriend and I met on Match.com and we've been together for 2.5 years, and living together for two of those years. I think it's pretty safe, just be sure to meet in a public place. Also, make sure you know their real name and put it into several search engines to make sure nothing crazy comes up. Listen to your gut and you'll probably be fine.

Yes i have and it was the best 3.5yrs of my life thus far we still keep in touch just remember to follow the rules ie meet in public place and tell someone about it
