I have spoken to the childrens parents but they don't care. My child is 3ft.2 and about 38 pounds and in 3rd grade. There are 4 3rd grade girls and one 5th grade girls and they surround her when she tries to get help and hit her even more.

She has also lost intrest in school. She is afraid to go to school because of this she will beg me not to send her to school because of these other children.According to the school it has to get phyical how much more can my child take.I am really upset with this situation. I thank all responses I get and still want as much feedback as I can get. I am a working mother of 3 and their father is currently taking care of his mother who has TM. We are all going through diffucult times.

I taught at a school in Ca. It is true that the schools are limited in what they do to protect other kids from being bullied. Several of the answers were very appropriate. Most important thing would be to document each and every incident. I would then (as someone said) write a letter to the school with pictures of marks, along with any statement of your child. Send it registered or certified mail to the school, the teacher, and the superintendent. If there are marks on your child, I would immediately file a police report and send that in the certified letter. Request a response to the letter and a meeting with all parties involved to find a way to solve the issue. What many people do is complain and try to resolve it on their own, but nothing will happen until someone gets really hurt. You need to demand that a plan be put in place to protect your child. If this does not happen, you will file suit. Make sure everything is in writing. Have your child seek counseling (not through the school). if you do not have the money to pay for it, then find a place that charges on a sliding scale or will give free services. Bring the counselor to your school to represent your child. Do not wait for the school to take any action. It could take forever or not happen at all.

When she comes home with physical marks of abuse, take her to a doctor. Tell the doctor what happened and ask him/her to put it in the child's medical records.
Write a formal letter to the school explaining that your child is being bullied and physically as well as emotionally harmed by the continued abuse and that they must put a stop to it. Send it registered mail and keep a copy for yourself. They will have to sign for it and cannot deny that you informed them. You might also address the school board publically about it, but make sure you find out their requirements to speak at a meeting. If you do that, it becomes part of the public record.
Then get a good lawyer. :o) If they fail to stop the abuse, I smell a lawsuit.
Good Luck!

Go to the School Board and threathen to sue if they dont get involved with an offer of resolution.GO to your local police department and make a report or give a statement , so it can be on file, in case it becomes necessary in the future. In the meantime I would see how I can move the child to a different school.Bullying is a serious matter and shouldnt be taken litely.

You need to call the police and report the incidences. Press charges on the parents of these children and on the school for not protecting your child. The school is supposed to legally provide a safe school environment. Hire a lawyer and sue them for not doing so. I would also think of changing schools.

Document, document, document. Everytime your child comes home upset, have him/her write a statement of what occured. Take pictures or video of the marks or bruises, and or have your child tell you the story and show you the marks on tape.Show these to the teacher/administrator and date them. Next make a complaint with the school district or board. Getting police complaints, and statements will also help. Sue them all! Teachers, principals, parents, school board, and if all else fails the district. They will try and intervene real quick if you go over their heads and go straight to the district with your documentations. I would also think about changing schools because they are obviously unconcerned about your child's well being. Bullying needs to be taken care of before your child looses interst in leaning and socializing with peers.

Sounds like the only thing you can do now is to have a meeting with you, the Superintendant, and with your son...
If that does not get anywhere, I would take him out and home school him...Maybe someone in your area does that and would help to home school him if you work.............Or you will just have to do it at night...Bullying can be serious.. good luck.

Get him out of there. The best thing would be for him to become strong and kick their butts, but it sounds like the school would blame him.
