All this time we have misunderstood "Gay Rights", "Gay Rights" are people!

What we should really be asking is how, with all the intense background investigation that goes on of anyone allowed to get close to bush, how could they not have been aware of what he was doing? Not matter what loud and indignant rant a bush-league can come up with, the fact remains that bush could Not have been unaware of what haggard was doing.

The same applies to members of congress. Remember that the elder bush was CIA director before he became reagan's puppet master, the current bush administration has the most powerful tool that ever existed for digging up a person's past (or inventing one). Whatever dirt they find becomes political leverage.

So foley and the other gay rights had also to have been known to bush.

What does all this say about republican claims about supporting normal sexual relationships and family values? It is time for the republican party, which I have been a member of for half a century, to go the way of the Dodo Bird.

They want power and money and their booty too. These hypocrites not only ruin their own life but their wives and children's lives. They pass their shame onto them because they hid in the closet. Maybe if they came out of the closet and fought for what they really believed in they would have been more liked. Instead they chose the hypocrite route and are looked down on by everyone...straights, gays.ect..

I think the word "many" is rather incorrect. However, I think Republicans push the anti-gay rights movement because they are trying to appeal to their voters. (mostly red state evangelical homophobic types). Why are some having these secret relationships? Because they are complete & total hypocrites.

I think is is a strategy used by their political enemies to show that even if they have a very conservative agenda, they are not as conservative or as "perfect" as they say they are.

Hypocrisy and being raised to suppress any emotion whatsoever causes a time bomb that usually explodes in Republicans adult lives.

Some gays vote against gay marriage because say a candidate that they voted for isn't for gay marriage YET he pushes for other policies that they strongly support over some other candidate that is for gay marriage yet does not fall in line with the other beliefs the voter is looking for is the reason why!

Even though they are out among the people campaigning, they're lonely deep down inside.

Could you name all these "elected" Republicans?

Haggerd can hardly be called an elected Republican.

And you seem pretty sure that all democrats are in favor of gay marriage. I wouldn't be so sure if I were you.

First of all, even if you are gay, that doesn't mean you support gay marriage.

Secondly, I only know of one elected GOP that happened to.
