If they do, its no wonder that other countries think that the majority of those in the United States cannot read , write or think

oh and please. its just a question. and I am not at all intimidated by those who come here to attempt to humiliate or embarrass. once again, it's just a question and please do not equivocate because if you do I cannot respond because Community Standards tells me I can't. And if you still chose to do so, I will simply block your answer which I CAN do.

Love some of the uninformed answers here. The fact is inspectors confirmed before the war started that 98% of Iraqs WMD's had been destroyed, and the US military in charge (Zinni) of containing Iraq said even if he had them, he could not have used them because we were watching and could reach anyplace in Iraq in 15 minutes with bombs. Don't find that on Rush and Beck and O'Reilly though do you?

Sadly, yes, there are these people. They usually point to the evidence that a biological weapons cache was found, however it had been buried ever since the end of the gulf war and have deteriorated badly.

There's also the fact that one of Saddam's military intelligence officials has written an entire book (I believe his name is Georges Sada??) saying that Saddam did indeed have them, but shipped them all off to Syria before inspectors arrived. This has not been confirmed. Syria has said it's ridiculous, and our searches there have turned up nothing. It's also important to take into account that this man is part of the new government we've installed in Iraq and may be playing kiss-***.

Other than that. No physical evidence of anything. Infact, when the final report was written, the main point was that Saddam's weapons programs had been rapidly deteriorating ever since the Gulf War, which essentially means that the sanctions were working.

It really don't matter what other people think or say about this country.

Did the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor?

Did we suffer major damage?

Did the President wait to see what else they had or did we kick butt and take names?(Pearl Harbor)

So are you waiting for WMD to call you stupid?

Don't miss the boat Charlie, terrorist ain't no joke!

first time shame on you but the second time shame me.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. We are the victors, Ask England what happened to their tea?

And when the British were coming what happened to them?

Ask Russia if they want to bomb U.S. ships again? President Wilson did what? Ask Congress for 41 millions dollars...

And when this is all over Ask Iraq if the want to play with the twins again?

The point is Together we will stand but divided we will fall. We don't need any weak links now.

Plus, after all the turmoil this country's been through, aren't you glad that not one wars has been on U.S.soil.

Well, yes. Rumsfeld was told by Hussein in 1987 that he had sarin gas, biologicals and chemicals, some of which were used on the Kurds in 1989. And the reason we know they had the WMD is because we gave them to him in exchange for unfettered access to mid-east oil and to keep the Strait of Hormuz shipping channel open. Hussein used some of the chemical and biological weapons in the war against Iran in 1989 as well, with the approval of the USA, since we were still pissed off at the Iranians for kidnapping our embassy diplomats in 1979 and holding them hostage for 444 days. 18 unused, brand new fighter jets ( I think they were F-18s) sold to them by the USA were found buried in the desert after we invaded in 2003 - do you not consider a fighter jet a weapon of mass destruction? Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely do not support being in Iraq and NEVER supported started the war with them. But the facts are there about the WMD's they had, if you investigated this beyond reading headlines. And does blocking my answer make you feel powerful? Are you sure you aren't a Republican/neocon because that is their tactic, you know, to block a free exchange of ideas and to limit critism. By the way, if the rest of the world thinks Americans can't read, write or think, it might have something to do with the way you write your statement. Your caps on every word in the question, inappropriate punctuation, and the way you form a sentence is about that of a 5th grader. Do you know how to use your grammar check feature on your computer?

Do you pay attention to the news? At least to your own big media? Days before the war in Iraq began, truck loads were seen leaving for Syria, believed to contain your WMDs - the same direction Saddam's wife and daughters took.

In the news: The New York Times, your bible, evinced that there were WMDs in Iraq.

So are you angry at Saddam's verdict? Who are you sending flowers to?

Whiner.

Some people believe wmd are still there and others believe there wasn't any to start with. It really depends on the person.

He did have weapons of mass destruction. He used them on his own people. It is part of history. It is indisputable. After the first Iraq war, part of the peace settlement was that he had to get rid of them and U.N. inspectors would monitor him. Interviews with U.N. inspectors say they kept finding them, and when question they would apologize and say they forgot to get rid of them and they do not have any more. After a while the U.N. inspectors would find more.

Interviews with Iraqi scientists say that he did have them, but when he felt the pressure the Americans he got rid of them, but had every intention to resume the program again.

I think he killed thousands of his own people with them.
He may not have had Nukes, but even the NYT knows that he was very close to have one, as demonstrated by the government web-site they just had taken down. you know, the one with the nuclear bomb stuff on it.
If you don;'t think they were there, that's your prerogative.
But the most skilled and informed intelligence agencies on the planet all believed he had them, as did the US congress. At least they believed it, before they didn't believe it.

He used chemical weapons on his own people. That IS a WMD.

However, Iraq essentialy had only one WMD - its name was Saddam Hussein.

Well, at least they had the plans for WMD's

If they actually did, they could have been sent to Syria, and then given to Hezbollah, or buried.

At least the Tyrant is gonna die for his crimes against humanity.

Just a theory.
