Being a parent is always a hard job but the rewards are great. If you are a single parent and can afford to be a stay at home Mom more power to you. The hardest job we have as parents is instilling good values into our children. The stronger foundation we can give them the better adults they will be.

I am in the office 3 days a week and home with my girls the rest of the time. I have to admit that the days I go into the office are much easier that the days I am home with the girls.........and my 3 day a week job is a very demanding, stressful one. I'm an accountant.

Being a full-time stay at home Mother has it's advantages and yes, disadvantages, too. I am lucky to have the benefit of a career and a family.

Your kids are very fortunate to have a Mother that can be with them all the time. Studies show that children under three years of age often suffer irreversible negative effects of daycare. Stress levels in young children in daycare is extremely high, especially in low quality daycare.

Even though going to the office is a piece of cake as opposed to the days I spend with my girls, I wish I could be with them full-time because it is to their advantage. Unfortunately, we are not able to afford it. I used to work full-time before they were born, but have been able to sacrafice a lot of the "extras" and cut my schedule down to just 3 days a week.

I admire you and give you props! So many working Mothers and Fathers are out there that work full-time that don't have to. Their kids are in daycare from 6am to 6pm at night. Just so Mom & Dad can afford to drive the Mercedes and Hummers and go on extravagant vacations.

We live in a world where our worldly possessions have become more important than our children.

Keep your chin up Mom. Try to find some Mommy groups to hang out with and have playdates with and to exchange "kid" stories with.

Your job is tougher than any other job out there and your kids will be outstanding people because of the great job you do.

Not simple, but as far as jobs go there are lots of girls who wish they could have it. Today's economy doesn't generate many men who can properly support a stay at home wife. Today an equal partnership is the best most girls can hope for. Some girls are trained to actually want to work. Some girls like the power of being self reliant. And, of course, there are always exceptions.

How do you pay your bills being a stay at home single parent? Do you live off someone else? Do you date for money, like buy a date? If so how much do you charge for a date? Just curious how you support your self and your child when you don't work.

I think it is a harder job than it sounds. I know I couldnt do it, I need to get out and being by myself and just kids would make me a little batty. I respect women who make that choice.

Ps. I think once a week your husband needs to watch the kids and you need to have a long bath, glass of wine, and bar of chocolate while reading a book and listening to soothing music.

I am a stay at home mom, and a student. My husband thinks that I have it easy. I disagree with him, and agree with you. It is not fun and games, and it is rather trying at times. God bless.
