They did not TAKE anything, they earned them with American blood. And what would they be like today if we had not taken them? Just another third world mess.

We did not take anything. General Santanna signed a treaty with General Houston, who also paid money ( I don't know the amount ) as part of the treaty. And in case you haven't noticed, the Mexicans have reclaimed the territory again. You can get the history of this by researching the Battle of San Antonio, and yes, there are websites that have the Mexican version of the conflict.

If they were still part of Mexico, Mexicans would be trying escape into Oklahoma, Nevada, and Utah.
