Both are very similar in room size and decor. Aladdin is newer and larger. The shopping section with the rainstorm is pretty cool. It is farther south and if you like Caesars or Mandalay bay etc, it is a shorter walk. But the windows are smaller and the views are poor. Somewhat surprising how little you get for the normal rates they charge.
TI is closer to Mirage and Venetian and the the new Wynn Hotel. Views are nicer and you get priority viewing for the free Siren show. You can book shows at Bellagio and Mirage farther in advance. The rates are generally much better.
Anecdotal. I was at the Aladdin during 9/11. While other hotels were offering free extensions to stranded guests, Aladdin was jacking up the rates. That told me all I needed to know about their customer service. I've never gone back. But my personal favorite is the Rio. All suites, great rates and just a shuttle hop over the freeway to the strip.

Well a person posted a question prior to yours with this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjDcGbPGatcAfWHx7s65MKXzy6IX?qid=20061106104159AA46D1T
So they obvious like Treasure Island for the Soap. Treasure Island is close to the newest casino Wynn and next door is the Fashion Show Mall. Upscale Mall. Underground Parking.
Aladdin has a shopping mall and is closer to the Bellagio Fountains! Aladdin buffet is on the downside, moved from original location to upstairs. Same price, less food choices. Aladdin still under construction inside the casino.
Hope this helps you decide.

Hmm...some of these people are really out of date. The Aladdin is undergoing major reconstruction because it will soon be the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino. Because of this, it's kind of a mess at the moment. The mall is also being redone. If you're planning a trip in the near future, avoid the Aladdin. When I was there in July, the closed-off areas and construction made it feel tacky and uncomfortable. But, maybe you can get a good deal because of all this. Check the website to see if they're being generous.

If you're trying to decide between these two hotels, you should conduct some further research. The Monte Carlo has nicer rooms than both of these hotels and usually for a lesser price. Monte Carlo is center strip across the street from Aladdin & MGM with the NYNY right next door, and a monorail to Bellagio. The Luxor and MGM are also really nice but if you're looking for rooms comparable to TI & Aladdin... go Monte Carlo.

I would say Treasure Island due to the location, much more central strip than Aladdin

Right now--treasure island--as the Aladdin is under renovation as it changes to Planet Hollywood--don't recommend staying there.

Both are good. To me Treasure Island it's more centrical than Aladin....
Treasure has a free show "mermaids of the TI" and Aladin has one of the best shopping centers....
You will be walking around the hotels and each has shops, so don't be worry about the hotel you're staying, you will be having fun out, you just need a bed to sleep...

I don't care for either one but if I had to have a choice it would be Aladdin. I fly to Vegas every few months and always stay at The Venetian. :)
