Depends on the person, but most females do gain weight after a pregnancy. Not to say they won't lose it though, be kind!!

I gained 30 Lbs with all 3 of my kids. I lost 20 the day they were born. It took me about 6 months to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Britney Spears got pregnant not long after she had her first, so she didn't have much of a chance to shed the weight. She has been in papers recently and she looks good and it has been only a couple of months since the birth of the 2nd baby.

I've had 2 with the first I started at 70 kilos and went up to 83, i went downm to 80 a while after I gave birth and over the next four I eventually reached 75 kilos then lost 2 in one year. I nursed some but my baby had nipple confusion and I didn't nurse for too long.
WIth my second who is 14months I'm still pretty much exclusively nursing. I started at 72 kilos went up to 82, and am now down to 67. Actually I went down even more but gained a bit back. I seem to have stabilized at this weight, though I still hope to lose more later. I had a 30% heavier baby the second time. I'm sure nursing had a lot to do with the weight loss.

Underweight women are supose to gain 35-45lbs. Overweight women are supose to gain anywhere from 15-25lbs. Everyone is different though. Eat healthy if your worried about putting on to much weight. DO NOT STARVE yourself. Eat 5-6 small meals. Cut out the fats and sweets. Hope this helpes

Every women who has a baby is going to gain weight & be at least a little bigger after it's born, but the amount of weight depends on the girls body & her eating/exercising habits.

not all women do. britney did because 1, she got pregnant again right away and 2, she didn't need to. she didn't have a tour to get ready for, no album came out, nothing.
most normal women that I know that have had babies get back down to their pre-pregnancy weight or close to it. I didn't. turned out I had insulin resistance and pcos, not to mention the depression, that went undiagnosed for years and I gained a lot of weight.

some women do. it all depends on how your body is. i was a size 3 before getting pregnant, now my son is 7 months and i am a size 7. i gained a lot of weight, so if you gain the proper amount of weight, it should be easier to lose it. breastfeeding helps a lot.

I gained a lot of weight after I had my daughter because I had the depo shot before I left the hospital.. Right after I had her I lost approx. 20 pounds but put it back on plus more in no time! Every one is different though & different bodies react in different ways.

You know it really depends on the woman. I have seen some women that as soon as they have a baby it seems they go to their pre-pregnancy weight. Then there are some women who have problems to lose those extra pounds.

yes women do gain more than 10kg when they're pregnant. it's the additional weight of the growing baby plus stuff like water bag & placenta. of course you can loose those extra after delivery but it has to be hard work - both exercise & diet control plus your determination. i had 2 pregnancies & after delivery, i went for high impact aerobics for 3mths (once a week for 1hr session) & i lost those extras.
