Are so rediculous and not realistic. Would any man ever do any of those things for his girlfriend or wife?! If she climbs up the highest mountain that means shes trying to get away from you so why would u go there to get her down. And who can or would swim across an ocean for a girl?

You are taking the words in these songs waaayy too literally. Have you ever heard of "figure of speech"? There is a deeper meaning in those words. People aren't really climbing mountains and swimming oceans. You're kind of missing the point. Oh well, not everyone's a romantic. :)

Leonard Cohen's love songs are realistic. I go for those. Or what about Gloomy Sunday (covered by Bjork). Gloomy love is where it's at.

Yep. That's why I like country songs.
They include things like "I left my wife because she gave me the ultimatum of either fishing or being with her. So I'm fishing."
And "she walked out that door and told me to give everything away because it's got no meaning of our love anymore."
That's realistic my friend :)

they are meant to inspire and entertain by using better adjectives than good and nice. i do like love songs if i'm in love
