Sure. When sunlight can't get to your head, the hair dies, just like when you put something on top of your lawn. The lawn withers and dies.
Another danger is that the hat band will cut the circulation to your scalp and make the hair die faster.
If you've read this far, the previous two points ARE NOT TRUE. Some men are genetically predisposed to going bald. I think it's caused by testosterone, and the way it reacts with certain types of hair. I know. I'm largely bald.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://tr.im/mgQVv
While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Noooooooooooooo!! Wearing a hat has NOTHING to do with hair loss or baldness. Basically, it is all in the genes, not in the hat.
Chow!!

Wearing a hat will not make you go bald. This is just an old wives tale.

It's a myth. Baldness is genetically inherited from the mothers' side.
