This may not completely answer your question, but you can sell items sold on other merchant websites by creating your own theme-store on modoshi.

uBid.com has been around for quite a while. Mostly electronics stuff. I think it's just stuff that is overstocked, and I'm pretty sure you just place bids. I don't think you can actually sell stuff on it.

There are others, like Yahoo! auctions, thats a good one too! I would look at that one if you wanted to sell.
