Professional - I like Bed Head, its what I use mainly. It is not expensive and I like the wear and quality of their product with out the high prices. (I am a licensed cosmetologist)
I also like Mac make up. Their make up has awesome pigmentation and has the odd colors that are hard to find in other brands.
Department Store - I like different brands
I like Loreal. They are not expensive and have the best products. They also have awesome professional haircare product, personally, I think they are the best.
Max factor is also awesome.
I never really liked anything I bought from Cover Girl. Rimmel is okay except their mascara. Nutrogina is really great but is too expensive for a department store.

Physicians Formula; been using their makeup for over 5 years and love the blends. They're very light and formulated for all skin types. A bit on the pricey side but worth the money.

For base/primer, foundation and concealer I like Make Up For Ever.
for Translucent powder, I like Loreal Translucide
for blush and eyeshadow I like Nars and The Body Shop
for Lipgloss I like Revlon.
for mascara I like Lancome.
