Virgin, yet they do not plan on saving themselves for her? Isn't that being a hypocrit?

because they are scared their sexual performance will not be acceptable.....so....... a virgin does not have anyone else to compare them to. Thats why they want virgins, insecurity.

I believe at one time, this was the only way man could be assured that any children born were sired by him. This was also in the day that the bride was an unspoiled commodity to be sold (dowry) by her father or family.

I believe that at this time it is more of a thought that the husband would not have to compete or compare with any previous boyfriends or as a protection that the person he would be having unprotected sex with would not have any STDs.

If this is the standard you are finding in the boys that you are seeing, you could use a new peer group.

This is very hypocritical. Now-a-days men and women should be treated equal. If you aren't willing to save yourself for someone then why expect them to save themselves for you?

Any man who thinks this way is lame!!

yes, precisely! guys*rolls eyes*..

it's basically the mind set of the guy..

ok, if ur a guy, wud u want to marry someone who is still a virg, or someone who's 'used' already? ok, so the ans wud most prolly be virg right?

but then ur a girl..ask tat question again to ur self, as urself..wud u wanna get married to a guy who is a virg or not? surely virg as well right..

ok..so now, the thing is..would a girl mind more that the guy she's marrying is a virg or not, or would a guy mind more on the girl he's marrying is a virg or not?

if u love a guy, and wanna get married to him, and u found out he's not a virg..would u really mind? of course u do, only that u could sacrifice ur own feelings for ur love..

if a guy loves a girl and wanna settle down wit her, and he founds out she's not a virg, he'd most probably have that thought that she's not a virg and she's done it wit a guy who's not him and he'd feel disgusted..and also his ego and prode would be hurt..

but then, love conquers it all and if he love her he'd put that ego aside..

That's an old, old tradition dating back at least as far as the Roman empire, when it was actually common for Roman men to have sex with each other just to "save" the virgins! At least we haven't preserved that part of sex culture.

As for those guys: I hope they have fun finding her.

yeah, i really dont think it maters, at least not to me anyway. I feel its best that both people who marry are not virgins anyway, giving them time to expierence other things rather than just one person all your life.

Studies have shown that people who have stayed with one person are more likely to cheat or end in divorce. Not always, but it is something to think about.

It's a ridiculous double standard, isn't it? What's sad is that I've never 'known' a virgin. My wife is secondhand merchandise, which I didn't think would be a problem. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Her previous relationships messed with her mind, and she can't seem to get past it. I'd like to shoot the bas***ds that did her for what she has had to live with.

It's hypocritical, alright.

Though, I must confess there aren't any of these kinds of guys around where I come from.

But then, I'm just a dumb cluck Yank.

Guess you have those kinds where you are at.

Ain't that a bummer?
